Mark Humpage

Mark Humpage is a modern day adventurer and seasoned Storm Chaser with a passion for elemental photography.

Mark achieved his photographic trade from the ground up through experience. He embraced the digital revolution from inception and elemental photography gave him a unique direction. His work is all about capturing the moment and a thorough self education on his challenging subject. This has helped him adapt to the constantly evolving patterns of Mother Nature. There is no such thing as a guaranteed shoot with Nature, reaction is everything. Mark is an enthusiastic and warm individual with a passion for perfection.

Mark is an ambassador for Olympus and their only top-pro elemental photograher. He started shooting digitally with the Olympus E-10. Natural progression took Mark to the Olympus E-System and he now shoots with the Olymus E3, designed for Extreme.

"I currently shoot with the stunning E3 and superb Zuiko Four Thirds lenses. My adventures require a system that performs in the most demanding of environments. I insist on quality, performance and a robust weatherproof system".

Mark has worked with many major clients including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and exhibited at Tate Modern and Olympus Inheritance exhibitions. Many of his spectacular weather photographs have been published around the world and he has written articles for newspapers and magazines about nature and the elements.

Mark also loves writing - providing reportage, reviews and photojournalism for the media. The Elemental Project will provide many such opportunities which will be available to download on the website. Please email Mark for any specific requests or commissions.
